Why The Force Awakens Is My Most          Anticipated Movie Of All Time

As I'm sure you know, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released in theatres on December 18, 2015. And let me tell you something. I truthfully can tell you that I have not been excited for something this much ever in my life. This is not just my most anticipated movie of all time. This is my most anticipated day, event, everything.. of all time. Here is how I see it...

In 1977 a little movie by the name of Star Wars was released. People loved it. And it instantly became a phenomenon and a household name, with its memorable characters, exciting story, and wondrous effects. Then, in 1980 The Empire Strikes Back came to theatres, the continuation of the Star Wars saga. And if the original film hadn't already solidified the Star Wars name, The Empire Strikes Back did. It heightened the characters, it expanded the world and the lore, it was absolutely incredible. And of course in 1983, The Return Of The Jedi-the final film in the phenomenal original Star Wars trilogy. These three movies are so close to so many people. It's amazing to how many people these movies were their childhood. And that's the case with me! Smash Bros. and Star Wars-that's my childhood (it doesn't get much better than that folks.)

And that's why this is such an important movie. It's been nearly 35 years since there's been a great Star Wars movie. And I just can't help but let my hopes up. Even though it almost seems too good to be true. I like J.J Abrams; I really liked Cloverfield, and I loved Star Trek and Into Darkness, even though I'm not very familiar with Star Trek. And my god, the trailers look amazing! The first one was just great! The second, wow, this movie's gonna be amazing. And the most recent (the one that I can't stop watching on repeat)-I can't believe this is happening. AAAAAAAAAA!!!!! I love these trailers. The style with which they are filmed and edited, the music, the scope, the dialogue, the everything! And here's the thing about the trailers: I still know next to nothing about the film itself. Isn't that great!? There's so many trailers these days that show so much, there's no room for surprise when we see the actual movie. But with The Force Awakens, I have seen all three trailers (many times) and there are still many things I don't know about the movie. Besides the fact that it's going to be AMAZING of course. ;) And I know that I really shouldn't have my hopes this high, but what can I say. I love Star Wars, there's no other way to say it-The Original Trilogy, The Force Unleashed, The Darth Bane Trilogy, The Thrawn Trilogy, oh man. And I'm not saying Star Wars doesn't have pieces of it that weren't great. We all know what happened with The Prequels (sorry, I tried not to mention it too much in this article to keep the reader in a good mood, but it had to be done sometime) And who knows. Maybe this movie will really be terrible. However, I seriously doubt it. I trust the team behind the filming. The #1 most annoying thing right now is people telling me how slim the odds are that this movie is going to be as great as we all want it to be. Never tell me the odds...

Guys, I have had dreams about this movie. I have dreamed about sitting in a comfy theatre chair, looking up at a huge screen. And on it, the Millennium Falcon, speeding through the atmosphere of a cloudy giant, a dozen Imperial Tie-fighters on its tail. Like actual dreams! My daruma (a Japanese doll where you color in one of its eyes when you make a wish and color in the other when that wish comes true) is sitting in my room with one eye colored in. Guess what my wish was. I can't believe I am going to be sitting down watching this movie in less than 50 days now. I can just imagine sitting there in complete darkness and silence. The words we all know so well come onto the screen in light blue lettering. And then...............................you know the rest.
