You desperately lash out at your bag as it slips from your shoulder and drops. You manage to touch it, but now the rope is falling down, it’s detached from the cliff and so are you. You know nothing but the sensation of falling. Air rushes past you and your blood drips even as you plummet. You see water and it sees you as the two of your come closer.. and closer… You smack into the river and you can feel your bones break on impact. A current. Aches all across your body. You twitch a bit from the cold of the water and feel the pain of your ribs, broken and busted. Now your eyes are open. The cold numbs you but the surface of the rushing river seems an eternity away and your world is so much quieter than before.
