You could not have gotten into a worse situation. Your torso soaked in the dark red of your blood, you watch as a single drop trickles down from where your eyes opened on it. It moves down your waist and then falls from the side of your pants. Down… down… it’s still falling. You lose sight of it as it falls beyond where your hazy eyes can see. Your hands move to your bleeding mid section and you feel.. a rope. You are tied to a bloody rope. You follow the rope’s path up. It leads further up than your weak arms can reach, but you slowly tilt your head and you see that up, on the edge of a rocky cliff, is the other end of the rope; but you snap your neck back down when shards of your surroundings come sprinkling down on top of you. Now you are screaming. The rope digging into the openings in your stomach fuels your cries of agony and your voice echoes from the cliff faces… and eventually dies off. You are helpless but to grunt and wheeze as the knotted rope squeezes you like a sponge. But you feel your weight pulling the other end of that rope closer to the edge every second. You look down. You can’t see where down will take you, but whatever is holding that rope to the cliff, it won’t be for much longer...
