You decide to try climbing up. You wrap your hands around the rope and squeeze. You hoist yourself up with an outburst of adrenaline. Instantly, you feel the pain in your stomach loosen. But what was where the rope is tied, is now in your arms. The weight of your body strains on your fingers and your shoulders feel like they will burst in any enormous, painful instant. You let your hands free from the rope and you fall for the small fraction of a foot you were able to bring yourself up, until the rope straightens and suddenly the pain is back. The knot is tighter than before and your bleeding middle feels like splitting open with the force of the rope and your body weight.
